Typology of knots/meaning:

I used different coloured threads to represent the switch from in-person to remote school, and also the moments when I increased the daily screen time. Also, knots represent the amount of time (1 knot = 15 min) of using a smartphone. The plan was to utilise volumic differences of other layer of yarns to represent my own anxiety towards remote work and all the confusion the pandemic caused workwise.

Concept of Quipu/personal significance:

I broght the Screen Time-app data (to materialize aspects of it), which reveals how much time my daughter spent on smartphone daily. Surprisingly, (after making the Quipu) I remember now better how much closer our family was during the times of remote school, whilst I was also more lost with my own PhD studies..
